All data and calculations on this page are based on the average daily rate per
calendar month for AUD/USD

HISTORICAL EXCHANGE RATE SUMMARY: AUD/USD
Average (Last 12 Months)         0.97
Average (Last 10 Years)           1.20
High (Last 12 Months)              1.00   (May, 2012)
Low (Last 12 Months)               0.95   (January, 2013)
High (Since February, 1972)      1.99   (April, 2001)
Low (Since February, 1972)       0.67   (May, 1974)

The Australian Dollar exchange rate for April, 2013 averaged 0.96 AUD to USD.
That's 0.3 basis points lower than the March, 2013 rate of 0.97, and 0.3 basis
points lower than the April, 2012 rate of 0.97.  The minor movement in the
AUD/USD exchange rate from March to April provides evidence that the short
term trend in AUD/USD is relatively flat. If that trend continues in the currency
market, we should see an average daily rate in May, 2013 that is close to 0.96.

The average Australian Dollar conversion rate over the last 12 months was
0.97. The average rate over the last 10 years was 1.20.  A Lower Australian
Dollars to US Dollars exchange rate over the last 12 months compared to the
average currency rates over the last 10 years serve as an indicator that the
long term rate trend in AUD/USD is down (weakening US Dollar against the
Australian Dollar).

The highest currency rate for AUD/USD over the last 12 months was 1.00. The
lowest was 0.95. The market high was attained in May, 2012. The market low
was achieved in January, 2013.

Forecast-Chart.com's historical research covers Australian Dollar data back to
February, 1972. The average exchange value during that period of history was
1.24 AUD/USD. The highest rate was 1.99. The lowest was 0.67.  The market
high was attained in April, of 2001. The market low was achieved in May of
1974. Recent rates experienced in April of 2013 are low relative to the historical
1.24 average.
